WHAT PARENTS ARE SAYING…

Vanessa has really wonderful, caring and compassionate energy. She explains exercises and therapy tools in a very clear, detailed way and has a focused plan to support my 3 year old’s sensory sensitivities. We’ve seen so much progress since starting our OT sessions with her.
— Christy K.
Vanessa has been an incredible influence in not only our son’s life, but our entire family’s life. We were recommended to her through our son’s preschool when he was 3. His teachers noticed that he was having difficulty controlling his body during play and regular school activities, like circle time. Vanessa provided an evaluation and immediately knew how to treat him. She worked with him directly, and gave us tools as parents to reinforce at home, which included a routine of “morning exercises” that we do daily per Vanessa’s direction that help him get calm and ready to concentrate at school. Our son also looks forward to, and loves, his regular sessions with Ms. Vanessa. She follows his lead based on the energy he comes to the session with, she never forces him to do something she had planned if it’s not the right time to do it. We can’t speak highly enough or recommend Vanessa more. She is an extraordinary leader and partner who makes us feel confident through this journey of OT with our son.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where do you conduct evaluations and treatment sessions?

Evaluations occur wherever there is concern. The extensive process could take several visits to the office, home or school, depending on your child. Sessions can occur in our office in Verona, NJ, at home or in the school setting. This depends on your child and your family’s needs.

What is the average length of a treatment session?

Treatment sessions are typically 45 minutes. Sessions are never scheduled back to back. This allows for time before and after sessions to discuss concerns, progress, for educational purposes and to conduct training on strategies to incorporate into the home or the classroom.

Does my child need to have an evaluation before starting treatment?

Yes. Here at All for Kids we pride ourselves in specific, targeted treatment approaches. A comprehensive evaluation is necessary to establish an individualized treatment plan for your child. If your child has had a recent Occupational Therapy evaluation within the last 4 months, you may submit this for review to determine if further evaluation is needed. An evaluation is also necessary, not only to determine if OT services are warranted but if a more extensive evaluation is needed elsewhere. It may be determined that Speech and Language services, Play Therapy, Vision Therapy or Physical Therapy for example, is warranted in conjunction with OT or prior to starting OT services.

My child is struggling in school. Can you help them in school and how?

Yes. After the comprehensive evaluation is completed, a treatment plan is established. The treatment plan will include specific strategies that the classroom can incorporate into the school day. Discussion with the teachers and any staff that interact with your child is included in the evaluation package. Additional visits to the school can be arranged to provide the classroom with tangible items to use, along with instruction on how and when to use them.

Do you accept insurance?

All Kids Therapy does not participate with health insurance plans, however, we will provide you with documentation to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Please reach out to your insurance company for further explanation of your out of network coverage.

What are your rates for evaluations and therapy services?

We offer competitive rates for both evaluations and therapy services, which we will provide to you upon request. Depending on your needs, you may choose to pay per session or buy a discounted package of sessions.
